How do we preserve our Gospel Freedom?

  • Recognize the Battle Within (vv. 16–18). “For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit… these are opposed to each other” (17)
  • Reject the Works of the Flesh (vv. 19–21) “the works of the flesh are evident…those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (19, 21)
  • Reflect the Character of Christ (vv. 22–24) “…those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (24)
  • Remain in Step with the Spirit (vv. 25–26) “If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.” (25)
