What do we see in the Angelic visit to Joseph in a dream? Matthew shows us how God brought peace to Joseph’s predicament. Although his issue wasn’t resolved, Joseph was given the confident hope that God was working supernaturally and redemptively to bring His peace in a complex and confusing time.
What hope is there that God will lift our anxiety and give us peace?
God Works Supernaturally (18-21), “…When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.” (18)
God Works Redemptively (22-25), “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken to the prophet, ‘The virgin shall conceive…’” (22,23)
