The Way of the Cross

This Sunday, we are excited to welcome back Pastor Tariq Waris as our guest preacher! As a global leader from South Asia, he offers an important window into Christianity, and the spread of the gospel around the world.

Pastor Waris will dive into our Mark series, right at the center of the gospel, in Mark 8:34–38. We will explore Jesus’ call for all of us to walk the way of the cross, through four core biblical truths. It will challenge us to take a hard look at our lives, address any self-denial, and honestly ask ourselves; will we pick up the cross today, and follow him? Or will we merely look back at the cross Jesus carried for us and admire from afar? Jesus did not ask his disciples to carry something he was unwilling to carry first. We encourage you to spend time in the text ahead of Sunday and prayerfully consider these questions and the posture of your heart.
